The Good Fruit does not sell personal information and will not sell personal information under any circumstance.

We also do not rent personal information or exchange it with unrelated organizations for monetary compensation.

  • When service providers or third parties may receive it;
  • How long we may retain it;

3. Information We May Collect

We seek to collect only information that is reasonably necessary to operate, protect, and improve The Good Fruit.

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily

Depending on how you interact with the website, you may provide information such as:

  • Your name;
  • Your email address;

  • Newsletter subscription preferences;

  • Any other information you voluntarily choose to provide.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through a general contact form unless it is necessary for your request.

B. Newsletter Information

The Good Fruit uses Kit to manage newsletter subscriptions, email delivery, subscriber preferences, unsubscribe requests, and related newsletter communications.

If you subscribe to The Good Fruit newsletter, we may collect:

  • Your email address;
  • Your name, if requested;
  • The date and method of subscription;
  • Your subscription status;
  • Your email preferences;
  • Unsubscribe records;
  • Limited email engagement information, such as whether an email was opened or whether a link was clicked, depending on Kit's available settings and our configuration; and
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide through a newsletter signup form.

We use this information to send newsletter updates, new article notices, consumer guidance, project updates, and other communications related to The Good Fruit.

The Good Fruit will not add you to a marketing email list without your request or another legally valid basis.

You may unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us.

Newsletter information may be processed by Kit according to Kit's own terms, privacy policy, and service-provider obligations.

Submitting a contact form or sending us an email does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter unless the form clearly states otherwise and you affirmatively choose to subscribe.

C. Contact Form and Email Communications

When you contact us through a contact form or by email, we may collect your name, email address, message, and any other information you include.

The Good Fruit uses Google Workspace to manage business email and related communications.

Current email addresses include:

  • General Email: hello@thegoodfruit.site
  • General Inquiries: inquiry@thegoodfruit.site
  • Support: support@thegoodfruit.site
  • Affiliate Inquiries: affiliate@thegoodfruit.site

The Good Fruit uses email aliases for different inquiry types. These aliases may forward to our central business inbox at hello@thegoodfruit.site.

If you contact us by email or submit a form that routes to our email inbox, your name, email address, message, and related communication details may be processed through Google Workspace.

We use this information to:

  • Read and respond to your communication;
  • Provide requested assistance;
  • Maintain appropriate business records;
  • Identify repeated or abusive submissions;
  • Review privacy, copyright, correction, affiliate, support, or legal inquiries; and
  • Improve our content or services when appropriate.

Submitting a contact form does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails unless the form clearly states otherwise and you affirmatively choose to subscribe.

D. Account Information

The Good Fruit does not currently require ordinary visitors to create user accounts.

If The Good Fruit later offers user accounts, we may collect information needed to create and maintain the account, such as your name, email address, username, encrypted or securely processed login credentials, account preferences, order history, saved content or settings, and records of account-related communications.

We will not request more account information than is reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature or service. If account features are activated, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

E. Purchase and Transaction Information

The Good Fruit does not currently offer direct purchases through the website unless otherwise stated on a specific page.

If The Good Fruit later sells products, memberships, subscriptions, downloads, or services directly, we may collect information connected with the transaction, including your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, items purchased, transaction amount, order status, and limited payment-related information provided by the payment processor.

Payments may be handled by an independent payment processor. Unless expressly stated otherwise, The Good Fruit does not directly receive or store complete credit card or bank account numbers. The payment processor will handle payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

F. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate geographic region, referring website or page, date and time of access, general navigation activity, website performance information, and error, security, or diagnostic information.

Where reasonably possible, we will use privacy-focused settings and services designed to reduce unnecessary tracking, identification, and retention.

G. Hosting and Technical Infrastructure

The Good Fruit uses IONOS for website hosting and related technical infrastructure. When you visit the website, IONOS may process technical information necessary to deliver the website, maintain availability, support security, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, maintain server logs, and operate related technical services. This technical processing is necessary for the website to function.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files or identifiers that may be stored on or associated with your device.

The Good Fruit does not currently use a dedicated cookie preference tool. We aim to avoid unnecessary tracking technologies and nonessential cookies where reasonably possible. However, some cookies or similar technologies may still be used by the website, hosting provider, security tools, embedded content providers, affiliate links, account systems, newsletter tools, or other services if those features are enabled.

The Good Fruit may use cookies or similar technologies for limited purposes such as:

  • Enabling essential website functions;
  • Remembering visitor preferences;
  • Supporting account login sessions, if account features are later offered;
  • Maintaining website security;
  • Measuring general website use;
  • Understanding which pages are useful to visitors;
  • Supporting newsletter signup forms or email preferences;
  • Preventing fraud or abuse; and
  • Attributing qualifying purchases to an affiliate referral, if affiliate programs are later activated.

Where required by applicable law, nonessential cookies will not be activated until you provide consent.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings, privacy or tracking-protection extensions, device-level privacy controls, or any cookie preference tool that The Good Fruit may later provide. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functions.

If we later add tools that use nonessential cookies, advertising pixels, embedded tracking, or similar technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or consent options required by law.

5. Privacy-Focused Analytics

The Good Fruit uses Umami for privacy-focused website analytics. Umami is currently cloud-hosted.

Umami helps us understand general website activity, such as page views, referring sources, general traffic patterns, device type, browser type, operating system, approximate country or region, popular pages, time and date of visits, website performance, and general reader engagement.

We use this information to improve the website, understand which content is useful to readers, identify technical problems, and make better editorial and operational decisions.

We intend to configure analytics tools, where possible, to:

  • Minimize the personal information collected;
  • Avoid creating unnecessary visitor profiles;
  • Limit retention periods;
  • Avoid collecting precise location information;
  • Avoid collecting the contents of forms or private communications;
  • Reduce or eliminate cross-site tracking; and
  • Use aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably possible.

Analytics Provider: Umami

Analytics Hosting: Cloud-hosted

Provider Privacy Information: https://umami.is/privacy

If The Good Fruit later changes analytics providers, self-hosts analytics, or adds additional analytics tools, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Affiliate Links and Referral Tracking

The Good Fruit may publish product recommendations, service recommendations, educational content, consumer guidance, and other materials that contain affiliate links.

As of the current version of this Privacy Policy, The Good Fruit has not yet activated participation in specific affiliate programs unless otherwise stated on a particular page or disclosure.

If affiliate programs are activated, an affiliate link may allow a retailer, affiliate network, or other partner to recognize that a visitor reached its website through The Good Fruit. If the visitor completes a qualifying action or purchase, The Good Fruit may receive a commission or other compensation.

Clicking an affiliate link may allow the retailer or affiliate network to collect information such as the fact that the visitor followed a link from The Good Fruit, the time and date of the referral, technical device or browser information, a referral or affiliate identifier, the product or page viewed, whether a qualifying transaction occurred, and information otherwise collected by the third-party website.

The Good Fruit does not control the privacy practices of a retailer, affiliate network, or other third party after a visitor leaves our website. Visitors should review the applicable third party's privacy policy before providing personal information or completing a purchase.

Our receipt of an affiliate commission does not constitute our sale of a visitor's personal information. We will not provide personal information collected directly by The Good Fruit to an affiliate partner in exchange for money.

Additional information about our affiliate relationships is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

7. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain the website;
  • Provide requested content, products, or services;
  • Respond to questions and contact form submissions;
  • Send and receive business communications through Google Workspace;
  • Route inquiries through email aliases;
  • Manage support and affiliate inquiries;
  • Manage newsletter subscriptions, email delivery, subscriber preferences, unsubscribe records, and related newsletter communications through Kit;
  • Create and manage user accounts, if account features are later activated;
  • Process and administer direct purchases, if direct purchases are later offered;
  • Improve website usability and accessibility;
  • Understand general website performance through Umami analytics;
  • Measure affiliate referrals and commissions, if affiliate programs are later activated;
  • Protect the website, visitors, and our legal rights;
  • Detect fraud, spam, abuse, or security threats;
  • Maintain appropriate business and transaction records;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations; and
  • Enforce our Terms of Use and other policies.

We will not use personal information for purposes that are materially incompatible with the reason it was originally collected without providing appropriate notice or obtaining consent when required.

8. Our No-Sale Commitment

The Good Fruit does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

For purposes of this policy, selling includes providing personal information to another party in exchange for money.

We also do not knowingly:

  • Operate as a data broker;
  • Sell newsletter subscriber lists;
  • Sell contact form information;
  • Sell account information;
  • Sell customer purchase histories;
  • Sell individualized browsing histories;
  • Sell personal information for targeted advertising; or
  • Provide personal information to unrelated parties so they may independently market to visitors.

Some privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly than an ordinary exchange for money. The Good Fruit does not intend to disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If our technology or business practices ever change in a way that materially affects this commitment, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choices required by law before implementing the change.

Our foundational commitment remains that visitor information will not be treated as a product.

9. When Information May Be Disclosed

Although we do not sell personal information, we may disclose limited information in the following circumstances.

A. Service Providers

We may use service providers to perform necessary functions such as website hosting, email and business communications, email alias forwarding, privacy-focused analytics, contact form routing, newsletter subscriptions and email delivery, subscriber preference and unsubscribe management, account management, payment processing, order fulfillment, cloud storage, website security, spam prevention, and technical support.

Current core service providers include:

  • IONOS — website hosting and related technical infrastructure;
  • Google Workspace — business email, alias forwarding, contact form routing, and related communications;
  • Umami — cloud-hosted privacy-focused website analytics; and
  • Kit — newsletter subscriptions, email delivery, subscriber management, unsubscribe processing, and related newsletter communications.

These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us, subject to their own terms, privacy policies, contractual duties, and applicable law. Where reasonably possible, we will select providers whose practices align with our privacy commitments.

B. Affiliate Networks and Retailers

If affiliate programs are activated, affiliate partners may receive referral information when a visitor voluntarily clicks an affiliate link. Their independent collection and use of information are governed by their own policies.

C. Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with a valid law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or legal process; respond to a lawful government request; protect the rights, safety, property, or integrity of The Good Fruit, Consumers For Christ LLC, our visitors, or others; investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We will not voluntarily disclose more information than we reasonably believe is necessary under the circumstances.

D. Business Reorganization

If Consumers For Christ LLC or The Good Fruit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar organizational change, information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that process. Any successor will be expected to honor the privacy commitments applicable to the information at the time it was collected, unless visitors are lawfully notified otherwise. Personal information will not be sold as a stand-alone business asset or customer-data product.

E. With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you expressly ask us to do so or provide valid consent.

10. Data Minimization

The Good Fruit seeks to limit the collection of personal information to what is reasonably necessary for a clearly identified purpose.

We will periodically review our practices and, where reasonably possible:

  • Stop collecting information that is no longer necessary;
  • Disable unnecessary tracking features;
  • Limit employee or contractor access;
  • Reduce retention periods;
  • Delete outdated records; and
  • Prefer aggregated or de-identified information.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legitimate operational, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, and legal-compliance needs.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information. For example:

  • Email and contact form communications may be retained while the matter is active and for a reasonable recordkeeping period thereafter;
  • Newsletter information may be retained while you remain subscribed and for a limited period afterward to preserve unsubscribe records;
  • Account information may be retained while the account remains active, if account features are later activated;
  • Transaction records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, refund, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes if direct purchases are later offered — generally for a minimum of five (5) years following the transaction date, or longer if required by applicable federal or California law, including California's four-year statute of limitations for written contracts and the IRS's general three-to-seven-year record-retention guidance for tax purposes;
  • Hosting, security, and technical logs may be retained for a limited period necessary to operate the website, detect threats, diagnose errors, and maintain security;
  • Umami analytics information may be retained according to our analytics configuration and Umami's applicable service terms;
  • Kit newsletter records may be retained according to our newsletter configuration and Kit's applicable service terms; and
  • Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained when they no longer reasonably identify an individual.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to technical and legal limitations.

12. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain.

These safeguards may include:

  • Secure website connections;
  • IONOS hosting security features;
  • Google Workspace account protections;
  • Kit account protections;
  • Access controls;
  • Strong account authentication;
  • Encryption where appropriate;
  • Software and security updates;
  • Limited access to personal information;
  • Secure service providers;
  • Backups and recovery procedures; and
  • Monitoring for fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.

No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Visitors should use caution when transmitting information online and should protect their own account credentials.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting personal information, we will investigate and provide legally required notices.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. This section describes those rights in detail.

A. California Residents — CCPA/CPRA Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), may provide you with the following rights:

Right to Know.

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the purposes for collecting or using it, and the categories of third parties to whom it was disclosed.

Right to Delete.

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (such as information needed to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or maintain security).

Right to Correct.

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing.

You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information or the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Good Fruit does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out action is required, but you may contact us to confirm this practice.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information.

To the extent The Good Fruit collects sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, you have the right to direct us to limit its use to purposes authorized by law. The Good Fruit does not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Right to Non-Discrimination.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, provide a different level of service, or suggest that you will receive a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

B. EU, UK, and Swiss Visitors — GDPR Rights Summary

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or applicable equivalent law:

Right of Access.

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten").

You may request deletion of your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where you withdraw consent and no other legal basis applies.

Right to Rectification.

You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Right to Data Portability.

Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

Right to Restriction of Processing.

You may request that we restrict processing of your personal information in certain circumstances, such as while a correction request is pending.

Right to Object.

You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or unless processing is necessary for legal claims.

Right to Withdraw Consent.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Right to Lodge a Complaint.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your location.

C. How to Submit a Privacy Rights Request

To exercise any of the rights described above, please contact us using the information below. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by the CCPA, or within the timeframe required by other applicable law. We may extend the response period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, with prior notice.

Privacy Rights Requests

Email: hello@thegoodfruit.site

Please include your name, email address, and a description of your request. If you are submitting on behalf of another person, please include documentation of your authority to act on their behalf.

D. Verification Process

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests to protect against unauthorized access to your information. Verification may involve confirming information we already have on file, such as your email address or other identifying details. We will use information submitted for verification only to process and document the request and will not retain it for any other purpose.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against any person for exercising an applicable privacy right. Some requests may be limited or denied when an exception applies, such as when information must be retained to complete a transaction, comply with law, protect security, maintain required records, or establish or defend legal claims.

14. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

The Good Fruit does not sell your personal information. The Good Fruit does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. Because The Good Fruit does not engage in either practice, no opt-out mechanism is required. However, we include this affirmative statement so that California residents and all visitors can confirm our practices clearly.

Specifically:

  • We do not sell personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any third party;
  • We do not share personal information with third parties for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • We do not use personal information collected from our website to build advertising profiles for use by unrelated parties; and
  • We do not receive monetary or other valuable consideration in exchange for personal information.

If our practices ever change in a way that would constitute a sale or sharing under applicable law, we will update this policy, provide required notices, and implement any legally required opt-out mechanism before implementing the change.

If you have questions about this commitment, you may contact us at hello@thegoodfruit.site.

15. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and other California privacy laws. A detailed description of those rights is provided in Section 13 of this Privacy Policy.

The Good Fruit does not sell personal information and does not intend to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We will also seek to recognize legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, if and when our website practices fall within the applicable legal requirements.

An authorized agent may submit a request on behalf of a California resident when permitted by law. We may request evidence of the agent's authority and verification of the resident's identity.

16. Rights of Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland may have additional data-protection rights as described in Section 13 of this Privacy Policy.

Where applicable, our legal bases for processing may include:

  • Your consent;
  • Performance of a contract with you;
  • Compliance with a legal obligation;
  • Protection of vital interests; or
  • Our legitimate interests, when those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Our legitimate interests may include securely operating the website through IONOS, managing communications through Google Workspace, responding to inquiries, preventing fraud, improving content, maintaining business records, sending requested newsletter communications through Kit, managing unsubscribe records, and understanding general website performance through cloud-hosted privacy-focused analytics.

Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid.

You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location.

17. International Data Transfers

The Good Fruit is operated from the United States. If you access the website from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.

Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the United States. In particular:

  • Google Workspace may process email and communication data in data centers located in the United States and other countries where Google operates infrastructure;
  • Kit may process newsletter subscriber data in the United States or other countries where Kit operates its services; and
  • Umami (cloud-hosted) may process analytics data in the United States or other countries where its cloud infrastructure is located.

Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country that has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, we will rely on appropriate legal transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law. Where available and applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or equivalent mechanisms recognized under UK or Swiss law, serve as the legal basis for such transfers.

Visitors who have questions about international data transfers may contact us at hello@thegoodfruit.site.

18. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Good Fruit is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

The Good Fruit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 without legally required verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information from our records. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to The Good Fruit without your consent, please contact us immediately at:

Children's Privacy Contact

Email: hello@thegoodfruit.site

We will review the request and delete the information as required by applicable law.

If any future portion of the website is intentionally directed toward children, we will implement additional notices, consent procedures, and protections before collecting their personal information, in full compliance with COPPA and any other applicable law.

19. Do Not Track and Browser Privacy Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is not one universally adopted standard governing every Do Not Track signal, our website may not respond uniformly to all such signals.

However, we intend to respect legally recognized opt-out preference signals when required and to avoid unnecessary cross-site behavioral tracking.

Visitors may also use browser privacy controls, cookie settings, tracker-blocking tools, and Global Privacy Control where supported.

20. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may link to retailers, affiliate partners, news sources, research publications, social media platforms, embedded media providers, payment processors, advertisers, and other independent websites or services.

A link does not mean that The Good Fruit controls or accepts responsibility for the third party's privacy or security practices. When you leave our website or interact with embedded third-party content, the third party's own privacy policy and terms may apply. We encourage visitors to review those policies before submitting information.

21. Embedded Content

Articles or pages may include embedded videos, images, audio, social media posts, maps, product widgets, or other content provided by third parties. Embedded content may function as though the visitor directly accessed the third party's website. The provider may collect technical information, place cookies, or record interactions according to its own practices.

Where reasonably possible, The Good Fruit will consider privacy-enhancing embedding methods, consent controls, or direct links instead of automatically loading unnecessary third-party tracking technologies.

22. Email Communications

The Good Fruit uses Google Workspace for business email and related communications.

Current email addresses include:

  • General Email: hello@thegoodfruit.site
  • General Inquiries: inquiry@thegoodfruit.site
  • Support: support@thegoodfruit.site
  • Affiliate Inquiries: affiliate@thegoodfruit.site

These aliases may forward to the central business inbox at hello@thegoodfruit.site.

The Good Fruit uses Kit to manage newsletter subscriptions and newsletter email delivery. If you subscribe to the newsletter, Kit may process your email address, name if provided, subscription status, email preferences, unsubscribe records, and limited email engagement information depending on our configuration.

Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in newsletter emails.

Even after you unsubscribe from promotional or newsletter messages, we may send non-promotional communications when necessary, such as transaction confirmations, account security notices, responses to your requests, policy or service notices, and legally required communications.

We may retain a limited suppression record to ensure that an unsubscribed address is not unintentionally added back to a marketing list.

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technologies, vendors, legal obligations, or information practices change.

When we update it, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate or legally required.

We will not retroactively weaken material privacy promises concerning information already collected without a valid legal basis.

24. Privacy Contact

All privacy-related questions, requests, concerns, or complaints regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices should be directed to our designated privacy contact:
